Our Daily Bread Designs July Release

Welcome to the New Release post showcasing projects from Our Daily Bread Designs July Release!  You can see all of the July Releases here.  Continue reading below to find out how you can win one of three $15 Gift Certificates to the ODBD Store good towards the purchase of ODBD stamps.

Today, I am sharing two cards created with the Patriotic Pennants stamps set, ODBD Custom Pennants Die and ODBD Custom Pennant Row Die from the July Release along with some older ODBD stamp sets, Custom Dies and the ODBD Heart and Soul Paper Collection.

I love to create Patriotic cards, so I was thrilled to see more sets being added to the ODBD website!

To create my card, I cut panels of the heart paper from the ODBD Heart and Soul Paper Collection, sponged the edges with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress ink, then cut the bottom portion using Spellbinders Curved Borders Two Die. I added an additional layer of the Heart and Soul Paper Collection along with a Black panel to add some pop to the panel.  The sentiment from the Patriotic Pennants set is stamped in Black Archival on the Vanilla panel.  To embellish my card, I stamped the pennants from the Patriotic Pennants set on Vanilla card stock,  trimmed and sponged the edges, and layered them on a Black panel that was die cut using the ODBD Custom Pennants Die, the solider from Not Forgotten in Ranger Black Archival on Vanilla card stock, then die cut the panel using the ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Die, layering on a Black panel.  I colored the image using Distress Inks and an H20 Brush.

Details:
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs Patriotic Pennants, Not Forgotten
Ink - Ranger Distress Inks Gathered Twigs, Faded Jeans, Barn Door Red, Ranger Black Archival
Card Stock - Black, Vanilla
Other - Ink Blending Tool, ODBD Custom Pennants Die, ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Die, Dimensionals, ODBD Heart and Soul Paper Collection, Big Shot, Spellbinders Borders Two

My next card is a Chalkboard Easel, and if you love to create Fun Fold Cards, be sure to check out the new products added to the ODBD Website!  Not only are there 7 Fun and Fancy Fold Cards Templates available, but they've also added the Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate and Spellbinders Tool N' One to the website!

The Chalkboard Easel base is cut from Kraft Card Stock. The "chalkboard" panel is a piece of the ODBD Chalkboard Paper Collection, stamped and White embossed with a sentiment from the Patriotic Pennants stamp set.   I stamped the pennants from this same set using Ranger Distress Ink on Vanilla card stock, and die cut them using the ODBD Custom Pennant Row Die, layering on a Kraft panel that was also die cut using this same die.  I cut additional Kraft card stock for the long and short frame panels, stamping the panels with the Wood Background and sponging them with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink for extra depth, then popped them up on dimensionals over the stamped Chalkboard Paper panel.

Love both patriotic creations, Lisa! The paper pieced panels look fabulous with the curved edge and flags tucked under the image. The easel design works perfectly with the pennants. Perfect timing for these wonderful cards! Hugs!

Perfect! I love your cards - especially the one thanking a hero for their service. It reminds me that I have not sent cards to a hero in a long time, and that I will this month. I make cards for Operation Write Home, and I have gotten wonderful ideas from ODBD's design team.

Wonderful job Lisa! The banners and pennants scream Americana and you have certainly brought back memories for me! The easel could be found in front of any mom and pop shop of my hometown. Being retired military, I am partial to the other card too! Lovely work!
