Because I Care - Pretty in Purple

This week at CR84FN4 Mona has a lovely photo in Purples and Gray which I paired up with this weeks Sweet Stop Sketch #82.  It felt so good to actually get in my studio and produce something, rather than toss it into the garbage.  Being sick really did me in creatively, it's like my mind was in a fog and nothing would come out on paper.  I had a ton of ideas, but none never materialized into anything when I sat down.  It was more like "creative constipation" - I just love that term!  I read that one week on someones blog when I was leaving comments, and chuckle every time I think about it.

The image is Black Embossed on Watercolor paper, then colored using the Marker Watercoloring Technique.  The lovely papers are from Basic Grey's Wisteria pack, the Amethyst panel is embossed with a Texture Fades Folder, then the embossing is slightly highlighted with ink.  I spritzed the project with Ranger Perfect Pearls spray to added some shimmer.

Here's the color inspiration and sketch

Lisa,
I just love how you used the hydrangea, so Lisa Somerville!
The expression: "creative constipation"-I was looking for the word for months, it happens to me sometimes....But then I open your blog and it's gone, because your cards are so much inspiration for me! Thanks for that!
