Just For You

Happy Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday!  I dug deep into my paper stash for the paper I used on my card today!  I had about six different paper pads out, but nothing was grabbing me.  Normally when I stamp, I pick out my stamps, papers, then inks.  This time however, I picked out stamps and stamped the images, then needed to find coordinating papers.  I'm happy with the end result, maybe I ought change my ways a little more often!  If you missed the announcement last week with the information for Kitchen Sink Stamps Pre Thanksgiving Day sale - continue reading below, you still have a few more days to save!

To create my card I used Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi Step Gift and Ready 4 Any Holiday stamp sets along Basic Grey pattern paper and Top Dog Dies.

I love the fact that Maria now has "cut files" available for the KSS images.  These stamps had wonderful detail and dimension before the cut files, but using a "cut file" can add an extra pop to the stamped image.  I used my Silhouette and cut the "gift cut file" from Vanilla card stock, then stamped the image onto the Vanilla panel.  I created an offset panel for layering purposes, cutting that panel from Espresso card stock.

I've been trying to use up some of the die cuts panels I have laying around rather than storing them in my scrap bin.  To embellish the card, I used the Scallop die from Top Dog Dies Cherish Doilies & Tags Set (TC027)die cut from Espresso card stock, then layered with a scrap of the Basic Grey pattern paper.  The scallop edge and largest center panel under the stamped image are die cut from Espresso card stock using Top Dog Dies Scallop Box Die (TW010).  I used 2 of the scallop pieces from the box lid, joining them in the center and the center panel of the lid just happened to be large enough for the stamped image without and extra trimming!  The sweet little tag is die cut from Vanilla card stock using Top Dog Dies Cherish Doilies & Tags Set, I stamped the sentiment from Ready 4 Any Holiday in Olive to coordinate with the papers and stamped gift.  To further embellish, I added Vintage Brown Seam Binding, some Espresso die cut flourishes using Top Dog Dies Leafy Flourishes Die (TC016) set and a Red button tied with twine.
