Clay Pendant

Clay Pendant
This month one of the projects we were to create for the STAEDTLER DT was something using Fimo Effects Nightglow Clay.  I don't dabble a lot in clay....I tired making many different things using the clay....Then remember I had some fabulous findings from Craft Fantastic in my alterables that would be perfect.  Okay, maybe not perfect for the Glow in the Dark feature of the clay, but still!

I rolled out the clay to fit the Silver Large Oval Tray, then sliced off the beveled portion of the clay so I had a nice smooth service.  I used a Melt Art Impressions Mat from Ranger to press into the clay to add texture, then baked the clay according to directions.  Once the clay was cooled, I brushed on Pearl Ex, coated the clay with Varnish and sprinkled on some Dry Glitter for some extra texture and shimmer.

Here's a close up view of the pendant

And here you can see a little bit of the Nightglow - which is very difficult to capture with the camera.
