Baby Shower Cupcakes

It's been a long time since I've been to a baby shower! Looking to add a little craftiness to my gift, I decided to make some cupcakes out of some of the items I purchased for the baby.

DIY - Baby Shower Gift (Receiving Blanket, Onesie, Washcloth)

To create the cupcakes, I purchased a package of 3 Receiving Blankets, 3 White Onesies and 6 Washcloths (I used three and put the extras in with the other gifts).

Fold the Receiving Blanket so that you have a long piece that is about 3" wide; fold the Onesie in half, then in half again, lay on top of the Receiving Blanket.  Fold the Washcloth, in half, then in half again, lay on top of Onesie.  Roll all pieces, secure with a rubber band.  Place inside a Coffee Filter, secure with additional rubber band.  Add decorative ribbon with Jute tied button to embellish.  For my ribbon, I dyed Eggshell Vintage Seam Binding with Dylusions Spray.

Here's a close up

I didn't have any large cupcake boxes, and ran out of time so I couldn't created one with my Silhouette, so I just popped them into a Cello Bag and tied with additional dyed ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!
