JustRite Christmas Joy - Sneak Peek

I'm glad you could stop by today! I've got a few creations to share with you using the new Christmas Joy Set from JustRite. This set has 6 wonderful borders and centers for creating Christmas projects using the JustRite Small Oval Stamper (1-3/4" x 2-5/16"). You'll also want to continue reading on for some JustRite Blog Hop and Blog Candy news!

For this first project, I altered a Gift Box my friend Robin had sent me - she said she knew I'd have some ideas on what to do with them. The box was already Red, so I simply added a layer of Blue card stock, and a piece of Wonderland Magical Moments DSP by Dream Street Papers, to dress up the top of the box and cover up the store logo.

To create my tag, I inked the penguin from Christmas Joy in Black, then I used a Blender Pen to omit the Black ink from the presents, and colored them with Red and Blue markers and stamped on Watercolor paper. The scarf is paper pieced using the back of the Magical Moments DSP. The other parts of the penguin are colored with markers. I used the Big Shot and Spellbinders Oval Dies to cut out the image, then sponged the edges in Chocolate Chip Ink. The sentiment is from this same set, inked in Black, again I used a Blender Pen to omit the presents from the sentiment, then stamped on Red card stock, cutting with Spellbinder Oval Dies layering on a Blue Oval. Kaiser Stick on Gems were added to the tag where the presents would have been.

When I first read this next sentiment from this center- A little wish for a Magical Christmas, I thought it would be perfect for Christmas Reindeer Food. What kid wouldn't want to get a bag of this to sprinkle on the lawn before Christmas! These are quick and easy to make, and would be perfect for children's room parties.

The bag was created using Stampin' Up!'s Fancy Favor Die, I used the Spellbinder Oval Dies to cut my window in the front, so the Reindeer food would show through. The sentiment is stamped in Black Stazon on a piece of Acetate, then colored from behind using Gel Pens. To prevent the Reindeer food from spilling, I poured it into a Clear Envelope and sealed it shut. Using the Double Rectangle Punch and Blue Grosgrain I tied the top of the bag.
