Bloggers Challenge Week 11

This weeks bloggers challenge was to use the card layout on page 12 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Here's my card on using this layout (click to enlarge)

Some notes about this card - the "faux brads" were created by punching the Double Circle into my soft sky card stock, then adhering where I wanted the brads to be with snail. The dot's in the scallop were created by using the Pick a Petal Brass Stencil and the tool kit, then punching with the Scallop Punch. The star chipboard was a left over piece from the On Board Trimmings (Holiday Mini Catty) that I had leftover from my Trim the Tree Class.

Card Details:
Card stock - Always Artichoke, Soft Sky, Confetti White
Ink - Black Stazon, Purely Pomegranate, Blush Blossom
Other - Aquapainter, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Punch, Double Circle Punch, Tool Kit, Pick A Petal Brass Template, Artichoke Grosgrain, Bashful Blue Grosgrain

This week I have the talented Gerrie Johnnic as my Bloggers Challenge Guest - here's her rendition of this weeks Bloggers Challenge layout. (click to enlarge)

Be sure to check out the talented Bloggers Challenge Players Blogs on my sidebar. It's amazing to see so many different ideas using one simple sketch layout!

Have a great weekend!

Great cards. On the first card I like how you did the little piercing on the scallops (I'll have to try that) and I love that Santa image.
Card #2 is very striking with the wonderful bright colored designer paper. Ida

Fabulous job, as usual Lisa. Love the colors and the faux brads (hmmm... I've seen that somewhere else... haha.)

Gerrie's card is equally impressive... I think she needs her own blog site... but would you make her wait on the waitlist??? LOL.
