Bloggers Challenge - Celebrations

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday! Thanks to those who played along with last weeks Holiday Gifts Challenge, this weeks challenge is Celebrations!

My project uses Top Dog Dies, pattern paper from My Minds Eye and stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The cute Purse Card can be used for many occasions, I've created a vintage theme purse for Valentine's Day.

To create my project, I die cut the Purse Card (A2) Die (TW035) from Black card stock, then cut the coordinating layered panel using the Purse Card Finishers Die Set (TC002) from My Minds Eye pattern paper, and the two small scallop pieces from Black card stock.

I placed the pattern paper panel on top of the Purse Card Die, running it back through the Big Shot so that the slit would also be cut into the pattern paper panel.

To embellish the purse, I die cut the scallop tag from the Cherish Doilies & Tags Die Set (TC027) from pattern paper, then cut away to top to make it flush with the flap and added Prima Flowers.  To further embellish, I die cut flourishes from Black card stock using the Leafy Flourishes Die Set (TC016), Hunter leaves using the Purse Card Finishers Die Set (TC002), Zva Creative Crystal Gems, Pink Seam Binding tied into a double bow and a tag die cut using the Cherish Doilies & Tags Die Set (TC027), stamped with the sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs Perfect Gift stamp set.

I saw your purse on FB and had to come by for a closer look. It's gorgeous! I would enter the challenge, but not quite sure of the rules. Is it just about using die-cuts and following the week's theme? Sounds like fun!
Blessings,
Karen
