Papa's Trunk and Comfy Sofa Gift Box - AR DT Blog Hop

Welcome to the Creations by AR Design Team Blog Hop!  This month the Creations by AR Team is Celebrating Fathers with Adela's new Papa's Trunk and Comfy Sofa Gift Box Templates. We are also thrilled to welcome both Lori Brown and Lyn Bernatovich to the AR Team!  Be sure to keep reading to see how you can win one of these new templates!

For the Papa's Trunk template, I stamped the Wood Background from Our Daily Bread Designs in Olive on the Olive template pieces, then sponged the edges with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  The hinges and lock were cut from Espresso card stock, then crumpled to age a bit.

To embellish the top of the box, I stamped the image from ODBD Not Forgotten set in Black Archival, and colored with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils.  I added bits of Authentique Glory pattern paper under the image, a quill pen, filmstrip and metal star.  I also added a bit of pattern paper to to lock.  The box is perfect for a small gift, storing photographs, or stamps and return address labels.

Details:
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs Wood Background, Not Forgotten
Ink - Ranger Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Ranger Black Archival, Old Olive
Card Stock - White, Espresso, Old Olive
Other - STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils, Gamsol, Dimensionals, Brads, Scor-Tape, Scor-Pal, Authentique Glory Pattern Paper, Spellbinders Oval Dies, Big Shot, Star, Quill, Ink Blending Tool, Nibs

I turned the Comfy Sofa/Chair into a Chaise Lounge

The pattern paper is from the Bo Bunny Weekend Market Collection, the sides of the chair were cut from Espresso card stock.  I added a little pillow with the sentiment "for you".  By extending the box out as a Chaise Lounge, it's the perfect place to hide a gift card!

Want to win one of these new templates?  Each of the Designers will be giving away the one of the new release templates!  One random winner will be chosen from each Design Team Members Blog, so you'll have plenty of chances to win!  To participate and be eligible to win, simply leave a comment on this post, by Friday, May 25th, then check back on Saturday, May 26th, to see if you've won!   Don't forget to hop over to the other DT members Blogs and comment for multiple chances to win!

Fabulous! I love the travel trunk. I have some BoBunny papers and some Graphic45 papers that would work great with such a design.

I love your paper choice for the chair! I can see using clear embossing powder to make a leather-like finish for the arms!

Thanks so much for sharing!!
