Vintage Christmas Greetings - ODBDLYLS10

I'm slowly making my way through some of those old family photos and let me tell you, they've sure come in handy for the Our Daily Bread Scrapbook Challenges!  While visiting my mom, I took home a handful of photos I wanted to make copies of an use in my layouts.  I'm guessing my mom is about age 4 in this photo.  I cropped out the reindeer in the photo, as the face on one of them looked bit distorted, but then again, Santa looks a like he had one to many beard tuggings in this photos

This month Patter is challenging you to use Our Daily Bread Designs Stamps along with this sketch.  I don't work well with open space, so my take is a loose interpretation of the sketch.  I started with a 6" x 6" page, replacing the back square panel with the beautiful gold embossed Snowflake from the Piece and Joy Set, and the scallop circle with a gold embossed ornament from Ornaments 2 (which will be released on November 1st).  Then layered that on the larger panel where I had randomly stamped the Snowflakes in Pumice Stone Distress Ink, Burgundy and Brilliance Gold.

Here's a close up of the Gold Embossed Snowflake

The Snowflake Die makes cutting these a breeze!  If your not familiar with how ODBD Custom Dies work, be sure to check out this video.

I liked the look of the Scor-Pal Embossing Bug on the project that I posted here, and thought it would add a nice touch on this page too!

This month's scrapbook challenge ends Monday, October 31st, at 6 p.m. EST.  For complete details on you can play along for a chance to win a $20 ODBD Gift Certificate, click here.  The November Scrapbook Challenge will be posted on Tuesday, November 8th.
