Bloggers Challenge - Circa 1934 Designer Bag

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday!  This weeks challenge theme is Pattern Paper, easy challenge right?  How creative are you with your pattern paper?  Challenge yourself to use your pattern paper for something other than layering on your projects.

BE CREATIVE with this weeks theme:

You can alter something with PP
Try Iris Folding or the Herringbone Technique
Try Tea Bag Folding (I have samples on my blog here and here)

I went for the altered route with this weeks challenge.  I've had this Paper Mache Bag in my alterable cabinet for quite sometime, and thought it would be cool to create a designer bag using Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 paper.

I covered the sides, top and bottom with Ranger Tissue Tape, then added a Black card stock base. I adhered the Cosmo Papers like a patchwork quilt, then added stitching using the "stitch stamp" from the Unity Key to Joy set in Black ink.  The flower is cut from Cosmo Paper with the Tattered Floral Die.

Details:
Stamps - Unity
Ink - Black, Ranger Pumice Stone DI
Card Stock - Black
Other - Paper Mache Bag, Tissue Tape, Ink Blending Tool, Tattered Floral Die, Build a Brad, Cosmo Cricket Paper

Use the link below to add your Bloggers Challenge project using Pattern Paper

Have a great weekend!

This is one fabulous gift bag. Those papers are incredible -- and I love all the details you added. If I received this bag, it would not be regifted. I'd keep it just to look at it!

This is gorgeous Lisa! You have put these CC papers together beautifully! What a simply wonderful project! I had two projects to post, but I can't quite show them yet, so I went with a card! Hope that's okay! :D
