Fate and Dreams Collide with a few Challenges

With this being a short week, and lots to do, I'm combining a few things for today's posts.  I missed last weeks Compendium of Curiosities Challenge, because I didn't have the product needed - imagine that!  When I saw what this weeks challenge called for, I couldn't wait to create!  My family on the other hand...well, let's just say they don't care for the smell of the Grungepaper!  Even this morning at 4AM when DH got up for work, he said "what is that smell".

Recently I picked up a tablet of My Minds Eye Christmas Papers, and split them with some good friends, and thought they would be perfect to alter an old frame I had sitting in my alterables box - don't laugh, I bet you all have one of those boxes too!  Best thing is this frame was only $1, and I'm so happy with the end results!

I just love the papers, even though they are from the MME Christmas collection, I think they have a great vintage look to them, I did add some Walnut Stain Distress ink to all the edges.  (Click photo to enlarge) The photo I added is one of my Great Grandparents wedding photos, perfect for the frame, don't you think?

Challenges entered:
Compendium of Curiosities - Grungepaper Flowers
Sunday Stamper - All Kinds of Everything
Lots to Do - Butterflies or Insects (there's a few butterflies fluttering around the flowers)
Gingersnap Creations - Random Redhead Go 3D

Details:
Stamps - Tim Holtz 100th Collection
Ink -Black Archival, Distress Ink Walnut Stain
Card Stock - Vanilla
Other - Tattered Floral Die, Big Shot, Ticket Punch, MME Papers, Ink Blending Tool, Memo Pin, Brad Buttons, Sanding Block, Embosslits Beautiful Wings, Pearl Flourish, Multi Medium, Grungepaper

Lisa, I not only have an alterables box, I have an alterables half closet! Someday... I'll get to all this stuff.

But for now, I'm just going to marvel at the cool beauty of your altered frame! This is really gorgeous, and the grunge flowers-- no matter what they smell like-- look fabulous!

The photo of your great grandparents is an absolute treasure! The sentiment you chose suits the picture perfectly. Stunning work, as always! ♥
