Bloggers Challenge - Meets TJ Blogstravaganza

Another Friday....Another Bloggers Challenge....I've also combined this post with my daily TJ Blogstravaganza post - be sure to stop by Pat's Blog to see what she and the other TJ DT members created today!

This weeks challenge is The Same But Different

For my project, I decided to use the same stamps, same layout, same card stock, but changed my coloring medium.

On this first card, I stamped my images from PaperTrey's Boards and Beams in Black Archival, then colored using the Marker Water Coloring Technique from a past issue of the TJNL. To add a little dimension to my focal image, I stamped my windows and doors from Home for the Holidays on a separate piece of watercolor paper, cut them out and adhered them to my base. I stamped the icicles with a Glue Pad, and lightly applied my DD Glitter.

For this second card, I kept the card stock and stamps the same - but for my medium, I colored with Shimmerz Paints. You can't see the shimmer in the photo, but IRL, it sure does sparkle. Shimmerz are great for adding some bling to your Holiday cards!

Here's a close up of the image painted with Shimmerz

Looking to purchase Shimmerz? You can order them from The Rubber Cafe - and receive FREE Shipping on all orders through November 14th, just enter Coupon code TJSHIP at check out.

Be sure to check out what the other players created for today's challenge. If you'd like to play along, simply leave a link to your creation on this post, or if uploading to SCS, use keyword BC72.

Have a great weekend!

Both are fabulous Lisa. I just LOVE Boards & Beams...I need to use it more, especially since I have the holiday addition too! I especially like the one with all the sparklie effects...it really drives home the sparkle of the season. Tremendious job with the challenge!

These are both so deightful, Lisa. I love the bling on the first one, looks like those Christmas lights that hang down. The second one has such warmth in how you used the Shimmer Paints on the image. Great job...
