Perfect Teen Gift Set

There's always that one "teen" niece/cousin on my list that is hard to buy for - but I think I've come up with a great solution. All of these items fit into the purse - what more can you ask for! I just love this patterned paper, and thought it would be perfect to coordinate all my gift items. Just a note - all non SU items can be bought at Innovative Stamp Creations. If you don't see it on the site - just email Betsy and tell her you saw the items used on my blog. (Click photos to enlarge)

Here's the dimensions on the post it note holder
  • 1 piece of DSP 8 1/2" x 3 1/8"
  • score from one of the 8 1/2" sides at 3", 3 3/8", 6 3/8" and 6 3/4"

Fold on the score lines, adhere your post it note inside and fold the flaps down. The smaller of the flaps is the top. The stamp set used is a new sheet (Estamp-ina) available at Innovative Stamp Creations, made especially for the teen crowd. To give my brads the distressed look I used my Tim Holtz Hammer.

I saw a purse on Nichole's blog that inspired me to make one of my own - I altered her directions, so I could add a flap, I also wanted it deep enough to hold all my items. I added bling to the front of my purse with a Build a Brad, and used Jumbo Eyelets in the side of my purse, so I could thread my Double Stitched Ribbon handle.

Next up, a little altering of a bracelet blank, just added my DSP. Adhere it to your bracelet blank with Glossy Accents, then apply a thin layer over the top, and let dry.

The Gift Card holder also fits inside the purse. Here's a quick how to - to create the medallion.

  • Using card stock, punch your scallop punch
  • Now apply removable adhesive to a piece of copy paper, adhere your punched scallop
  • Reinsert your scallop punch, rotate slightly and punch

Here's a close up of the finished medallion

Punches used - Scallop (as shown above), 1 3/8" circle, 1 1/4" circle, 1" circle and 1/2" circle. The 1/2" circle is adhered to my Build a Brad. My sentiment is stamped on the 1" circle.
