Bloggers Challenge Week 5

Since I'm going to be out of town - I'm posting the Bloggers Challenge early this week. This week the Bloggers Challenge Group is making something 3D - think boxes/bags/cello topper bags. You get the idea. If patterns were used - you should find them in our posts. With that being said - here's my Bloggers Challenge for week 5 along with a tutorial to recreate your own.

Card Box Tutorial for CARDS: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" • ENVELOPES: A2 size and 3x3 Love Notes - Envelopes 3 1/8" x 3 1/8"

Here's a quick and easy Card Box Tutorial to hold A2 and 3x3 sized cards. The directions are the same for both boxes - just the size of card stock and score marks will change. (You'll find the Dimensions for the A2 sized box following this tutorial)

3x3 Card Box Supplies:

Card Stock - 9 1/2" x 6 1/4#
Scor-It (or other scoring method)
Sticky Strip
Scissors
Corner Rounder
DS Paper/Ribbon/Card Stock for embellishing

Place card stock horizontal on your Scor-It, score at 1"

Score at 4 1/4"

Flip your card stock but keep it horizontal and score at 1" and 4 1/4" from other side

Turn your card stock vertical and score at 1/2"

Score at 1 1/2"

Flip your card stock, keep it vertical and repeat the 1/2" and 1 1/2" score marks on other end

Using your score lines as your guide - cut away the unneeded areas, and cut up the fold as shown

Use the corner rounder to round the top and bottom flaps that will fold into your box

Adhere Sticky Strip to the side flap as shown, and close up your box. The top and bottom flaps will fold into the box. Add additional card stock/DS paper and ribbon as desired.

Directions for size A2 Box

Card Stock size 12" x 9 14/16"

With card stock horizontal score at 1" and 5 1/2" flip your card stock (keep card stock horizontal) and score 1" and 5 1/2" from other end

Turn the card stock vertical and score at 1/2" and 1 1/2" flip (keep card stock vertical) and score 1/2" and 1 1/2".

To assemble the box - follow the directions above for cutting and assembly.
