Our Daily Bread Designs January Release and Blog Hop

Happy New year and welcome to the New Release post and Blog Hop showcasing projects from Our Daily Bread Designs January Release!  You can see all of the January Releases here.   Continue reading below to find out how you can win one of three $25 Gift Certificates to the ODBD Store good towards the purchase of ODBD stamps.

Today, I'm sharing two cards and a Bible Journaling page using the new All Things Bible Journaling Stamp, along with additional ODBD Stamps, Dies and Pattern Paper (see supply list below).

For this card, I created a side fold A2 card, then cut the front panel from the fold to the edge on a diagonal and scored that panel to create a pocket for my stamped bookmark, securing the edges with Scor-Tape.  The Chocolate Bookmark panel was die cut using the Largest Die from the Bookmark die set. I simply cut off the scallop edges and used part of the scallop on the pocket of my second card.

Once the flap of the bookmark is folded back, I embellished the inside.  I did adhere this panel to a Tent Fold A2 card.

My second card also uses the Bookmark die set, this time I created a pocket on the front of my card to hold the bookmark.  I used ODBD Dies to embellish the pocket. (See supply list below)

Next, I did some Bible Journaling using the All Things stamp.  There are many tutorials on the web for Bible Journaling, there's no wrong way to journal, it's a creative freedom of expressing yourself.  I used stencils and Distress Inks on my pages, then embellished with the butterfly from Boho Blessings stamp set that was stamped, colored and die cut using the Fancy Fritillary Die.  I adhered the butterfly with Modge-Podge.  The All Things stamp is Black Embossed on Vellum, lightly colored and adhered in place with Tissue Tape.  When stamping the Bible Journaling stamps in your Bible, be sure to use a SAMJ for placement.
