Perhaps they are not Stars - SDC186

Sorry to have been MIA lately, but I'm back!  This past weekend I surprised my mom with a long weekend visit, and we had fun creating some mixed media backgrounds one of the days.  Our projects used the same color palette, but the outcome was very different.  Inspired by Kate Crane's beautiful backgrounds and the Stampotique Designers Challenge to use Stars, I used stamps from Stampotique to create my card on Mixed Media paper, adding additional colors to my stamped house, popping up the doors, window and roof. I added color to the fence using STAEDTLER Aquarell Watercolor Pencils and a White Gel Pen.  The sentiment is stamped on tissue paper, and adhered with Gel Medium.  To add a bit of depth I outlined the text and house with a Black STAEDTLER Triplus Fineliner.

Details:
Stamps - Stampotique Originals

Ink - Ranger Black Archival
Card Stock - Mixed Media Paper, Black, Bermuda Bay
Other - Black Gesso, Acrylic Paint, DecoArt Modeling Paste, Gel Medium, STAEDTLER Fineliner/Watercolor Pencils, Ink Blending Tool, Cap from paint bottle, Tissue Paper, Lego, Bubble Wrap, Paintbrush, Scrapper Tool, Our Daily Bread Designs Sparkling Stars Dies (made a stencil out of the smallest stars)

Additional challenge entered:
Mixed Media Place - Exercise #5 (my background started with Black Gesso)

Thanks for stopping by!
