Sand, Surf, Fun!

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday! Thanks to those who played along with the Metal Challenge, the challenge this week is Travel.

Tired of the White "fluffy stuff", I decided to go to the beach using the Travel Challenge.

Inspired by this sketch, I used stamps and custom dies from Our Daily Bread Designs along with Bo Bunny pattern paper.  The image is from the Happy Retirement stamp set, stamped in Black Archival ink, colored with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor pencils.  "Relax" is from the Flip Flop Fun stamp set, stamped in Black Archival on Vanilla card stock and die cut using the Mini Tags Dies.  The Sand, Surf, Sun! is from the Life is Better stamp set, I also added the sentiment Life is Better in Flip Flops from this same set to the inside of the card.

Concertina Book - Artistic Outpost Monthly Blog Hop

Welcome to the Artistic Outpost Design Team February Blog Hop! Each month, the fabulous designers at Artistic Outpost showcase projects created with various Artistic Outpost stamp sets.  This month, the Designers are sharing projects they created using a Book theme.  Some of the designers are using Artistic Outpost stamps that have a book theme, others are showcasing AO stamps with book folds or stamps used in books, such as journals.  We hope you'll take the time to hop along with us!

I created a Concertina Book using Artistic Outpost stamps from the Neverland, Whimsical Melange, Ephemera Backgrounds and Flower Market stamp sets, along with papers and dies from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Here is the view when the book is opened

Using the Whimsical Melange (circle collage), Ephemera Backgrounds (journal page) and Flower Market (moth and dragonfly) stamp sets, I stamped the images in Coffee Archival Ink on the Blushing Rose Paper Collection, then scored the panels and die cut the centers using one of the dies from the Vintage Labels die set.

For the front pattern paper on the front cover was stamped the same was as the inside.  Tinkerbell from the Neverland stamp set is stamped in Coffee Archival on Vanilla card stock, die cut using the Vintage Labels Die and colored with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Markers.

Friendship Never Melts Away

I love this sentiment from the Artistic Outpost Skating Emporium stamp set. Inspired by the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, I created my card using stamps from the Skating Emporium stamp set along with pattern paper from Bo Bunny and dies from Our Daily Bread Designs.

To create the skating scene, I die cut the pattern paper circle panel from the rectangle piece using the smallest circle die from the ODBD Circle Ornaments die set, then masked the image with Eclipse Tape and stamped on the die cut panel using Black Archival Ink.  The stamped panel is layered on a Black circle that was die cut using the smallest circle from the ODBD Matting Circles. Using a SAMJ, I added the sentiment.  The sweet children are stamped on scraps of Bo Bunny pattern paper, cut out and sponged, then adhered as shown with glue dots.  The fish tail was die cut from scraps of pattern paper, using the ODBD Pennant Die.

Hello Friend - Bloggers Challenge (Metal Challenge)

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday! Thanks to those who played along with the Love is in the Air Challenge, the challenge this week is Metal (use Metal or Metallic card stock/embossing powders, etc.)

Inspired by this sketch, I used stamps, dies and the Blushing Rose Paper Collection from Our Daily Bread Designs to create my card.

All papers are from the Blushing Rose Paper Collection, I sponged the edges with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  The quote is from Quote Collection 4, stamped in Coffee Archival Ink on Vanilla card stock and die cut using the Matting Circles Dies, layered on an Espresso panel that was die cut with the Circle Ornaments Die.  To embellish I die cut the small heart from metal using the Ornate Hearts Dies, buffing the embossed area to expose the silver metal.  I also added butterflies using the Stamped by - Butterfly Mini that were stamped on scrap pieces of the pattern paper, Zva Creative Silver Metallic Gems and a flourish cut from Moss card stock using the Fancy Foliage Die.

North Coast Creations February Release and Blog Hop

I'm sharing two projects today, using two of the sets from the NCC February Release, along with an older NCC stamp set, and Custom Dies, stamps and paper collection from Our Daily Bread Designs.

My first project is a Carrot Box

I created a Triangle Box from Pumpkin card stock, and added texture to the card stock using an Impression Plate.  The cute bunny is from the Hippity Hoppity stamp set, stamped on Our Daily Bread Designs Shabby Rose Paper Collection (being released March 1, 2015).  The bunny is holding a small egg that was die cut from the same paper collection using the ODBD Custom Eggs Dies (being released March 1, 2015).  I added the Gilded Gate Die to the side of the box and the ODBD Grass Border Die (being released March 1, 2015) to the top of the box using Scor-Tape.

My next card uses the new Pansies stamp set along with a sentiment from the Floral Sentiments stamp set, and products from NCC Sister Company, Our Daily Bread Designs.

The Pansies and Butterflies, are stamped on scraps of the Shabby Rose paper collection.  To add dimension to the Pansies, I used the Paper Tole Technique. My layout uses additional ODBD Custom Dies, you can find those linked in below.  To embellish I added Zva Creative Crystal Gems.

Please Mr. Postman

Happy Valentine's Day!  I used SVG Cuts Hearts Aflame SVG Kit along with Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, Custom Dies and pattern paper (sneak peek of Shabby Roses being released March 1, 2015), to create my mailbox.

I embellished the front, adding a small stamped tag along with a Heart, Key and Flower die cut (see supplies below), adding Zva Creative Crystal Gems under the tag.
