Music Speaks - Our Daily Bread Designs January Release and Blog Hop

Happy New Year!  Welcome to the New Release post and Blog Hop showcasing projects from Our Daily Bread Designs January Release!  You can see all of the January Releases here.   Continue reading below to find out how you can win one of three $25 Gift Certificates to the ODBD Store good towards the purchase of ODBD stamps.

I have two projects to share with you today, using the new Grunge Piano Background, Music Speaks stamp set, ODBD Custom Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate along with some previously released ODBD stamps and dies and a "sneak peek" at beautiful ODBD Paper Pad Collection that will be releasing soon!

Inspired by this sketch, yet moving my panels slightly, I used the ODBD Chalkboard Paper, die cutting the "fish tail" using the pennant from the Pennant Dies.  The keyboard and music note are from the Grunge Piano Background, while the words and bird are from the Music Speaks stamp set. The stamped panel was die cut using the Circle Ornaments Die and layered on a Black panel die cut using the Matting Circles Dies.  The large White panel was die cut using the Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate.  To embellish I added Black Seam Binding and a heart charm that was die cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock using the Mini Tags Dies.

Just a note about the Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate, the fish pattern and border die will deboss.  Depending on your machine and weight of card stock you are using, you may have to run it through your machine several times and use a metal shim.  When using a metal shim along with a card stock shim, the fish pattern will deboss, while the border holes will actually cut.  The card stock shim you use can then be used as a "faux" embossed panel.  So you can see there are MANY different ways you can use this new Die!  Click here to see the video.

Wow Lisa - wow!! Your first card is a creative masterpiece!!! I love the color transition from blue to black and how you've cut and matted the words and perched the little birdie on the word Heart! Also love the flourish - so unexpected and perfect. And your second creation is breathtaking! I love the papers you chose - such a beautiful design all around. Thank you Lisa for all your support and inspiration throughout the year - you are very much appreciated!!
Hugs and Blessings,
Audrey
