Think and Wonder - Mixed Media

I still had product out in my studio from that I hadn't cleaned up from the Mixed Media cards I created last week, so I set out to see what else I could create.

The background panel is created using the Gelli Arts Plate, and  DecoArt Americana Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint in Coastal Waters, Flamingo, Cotton Ball and Orange Sherbet and a stencil from Just a Trace.  I actually pulled a few prints on Mixed Media paper and one of Pattern Paper before deciding on which piece to use for the background.

Here's some photos of my creative process

After pulling one of the prints on Mixed Media card stock, I left the stencil in place and stamped the script from the Artistic Outpost Ephemera Backgrounds plate in Black Archival. I cleaned the stencil, then place it back over the print and outlined the stencil using a STAEDTLER Fineliner.  I wanted to add a bit more depth to the panel, so I used adhered the stencil to the print with Eclipe Tape and Dry Embossed both the print panel and an additional piece of Mixed Media card stock for my card base.

To finish the card, I stamped the children from the Think and Wonder plate in Black Archival Ink on Vanilla card stock, cut them from their background, sponged the edges in Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress ink and colored them using STAEDTLER Ergo Soft Pencils and Watercolor Markers.  Then adhered them in place using Decou-Page. To add a little more dimension, I applied DecoArt Modeling Paste through a stencil.

Details:
Stamps - Artistic Outpost Think and Wonder, Ephemera Backgrounds
Card Stock - Mixed Media, Vanilla, Black, Bahama Breeze
Ink - Ranger Black Archival, Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink
Other - Just a Trace Stencil, STAEDTLER Fineliner/Ergo Soft Colored Pencils/Markers, DecoArt Gesso/Modeling Paste/Americana Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint in Coastal Waters, Flamingo, Cotton Ball and Orange Sherbet/Decou-Page, Stampers Anonymous Stencil, Ink Blending Tool, Big Shot
