Friends Forever - Artistic Outpost DT August Blog Hop

Welcome to the Artistic Outpost Design Team August Blog Hop! Each month, the fabulous designers at Artistic Outpost showcase projects created with various Artistic Outpost stamp sets/Themes, this month, the DT Blog Hop theme is Designers Choice.

I created a Mixed Media card using the Artistic Outpost Paperboy, Generation Redux and Chalk It Up stamp sets.

To create my background panel, I used the Gelli Plate, stencils from Just A Trace and The Crafters Workshop along with DecoArt Americana Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint in Coastal Waters, Flamingo, Cotton Ball and Orange Sherbet to print on top of a piece of My Mind's Eye pattern paper.  Once the background was dry, I stamped images from the Generation Redux stamp set in Black Archival, and added circles to the background using Gesso.

The trio of girls is from the Paperboy stamp set, stamped in Black Archival on White card stock, and masked with Eclipse Tape, then stamped with one of the images from the Generation Redux set. To add color to the image, I used STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils. The words are from the Chalk It Up set, stamped in Black Archival on scraps of the printed background.  The fishtail was cut from scraps of the printed panel and Black card stock using Our Daily Bread Designs Custom Pennants Die.

What a wonderful background you created. Love how you stenciled over the text and the black stamped lace is sensational. The black against your color palette looks so sharp. The girls look so fashionable against the colorful background in their pretty coats!

Hugs,
Lnda
