Braver than you Believe - Mixed Media Card

Today, I have a Mixed Media card to share with you using the Think and Wonder and Typography plates from Artistic Outpost.  To create the background panel, I applied DecoArt Modeling Paste to a Chevron stencil, then added some Black flecks using DecoArt Americana Multi Purpose Paint in Black Tie using a paint brush.  The sweet girl is from the Think and Wonder plate, stamped in Black Archival on White card stock, trimmed to size and sponged with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and layered on a Black panel.  The quote is from the Typography plate (I only used a portion of the quote), stamped in Black Archival on White card stock, then die cut using the ODBD Custom Pennants Dies, sponged with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and layered on a Black panel.  To embellish my card, I added Zva Creative Crystal Flourish Gems, a Mini Rose with added Olive leaves die cut using the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Dies and Vintage Black Seam Binding.

Don't forget if you have Artistic Outpost stamps, enter them in the Show us your AO Art August Challenge for a chance to win an Artistic Outpost Gift Certificate.  More details can be found here.

The stenciling, pearls and black specks all made a wonderful background for that sweet stamp!

What a great use of some fantastic elements and techniques! I really like the combo of elegant pearls and bold graphics. The girl stands out so beautifully, yet your card is softened by that lovely flower and the ribbon. I think that sentiment is wonderful and a very good thing for all of us to remember! Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

Oohhh I love it. I'm such a big fan of white space and love how the specks of paint add contrast. And the texture paste adds a subtle yet wonderful texture. I love this!!!!!! Thanks so much for playing along in our ePlay August Challenge and sharing.
