Bloggers Challenge - Stencil It

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday! Thanks to those who played along with the Animals Challenge last week.  The challenge this week is Stencils.

I created an 8" x 8" Mixed Media project using Julie Nutting and Dylusions stamps along with Bo Bunny Pattern Paper, Just A Trace Stencils, Zva Creative Crystal Gems/Flowers and DecoArt Paint Mediums

To created the background, I simply placed different panels of Bo Bunny pattern paper on top of each other, sponging the edges with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink before adhering them with DecoArt Decou-Page.  To add interest to the background I applied some White Gesso where the seams of the papers meet to blend the papers together.  To add additional interest, I applied DecoArt Modeling Paste, through the Bobby Stencil from Just a Trace.   Once the Modeling Paste was dry I applied DecoArt American Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint in Poppy over the paste, blending with a little water to add additional color.

The Julie Nutting Doll stamp  is stamped on scraps of Bo Bunny pattern paper in Ranger Black Archival Ink.  The outfit is paper pieced using scraps from the same pattern paper line, all edges are sponged with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  To embellish my piece, I added a stamped sentiment from the Dylusions line, a paper doily and Zva Creative Crystal Gems and Mini Roses.

This is so pretty, Lisa. Love all the texture you've added and how you blended the seams. I've got to play along as you're using one of my faves as this challenge theme!
