Friends are like Flowers - Our Daily Bread Designs March Release

Welcome to the New Release post showcasing projects from Our Daily Bread Designs March Release!  You can see all of the March Releases here.  Continue reading below to find out how you can win a $25 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store good towards the purchase of ODBD stamps.

I created two cards using the new Zinnia stamp set along with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die, ODBD Blooming Garden Paper Collection, ODBD Custom Fancy Foilage Die and ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies.

My first card features a Fancy Fold, and when folded the card fits into a standard A2 size envelope.

To create the Fancy Fold, I cut my card stock at 9-1/2" x 4-1/4", scoring at 2-3/4", 3-3/4", 5-3/4" and 6-3/4".  The ends were die cut using curved border dies.  I die cut portions of the ODBD Blooming Garden Paper Collection and layered that the my scored panels as shown.  The sentiment is stamped in Espresso on a Vanilla panel, then die cut with Oval Die and layered on an Oval Espresso panel.  The beautiful Zinnia flowers are stamped in Espresso on piece of the ODBD Blooming Garden Paper Collection, then die cut and embossed using the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die.  To embellish the Zinnia's I added buttons to the centers and embossed die cuts using the Leaves from the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die and the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die.  The cute bee can be found on the Zinnia stamp set, it is stamped on a scrap of the ODBD Blooming Garden Paper Collection and die cut/embossed using the ODBD Custom Zinnia Die.

To created this card, all pattern paper panels are cut using the ODBD Blooming Garden Paper Collection.  The Zinnia is stamped in Black on scraps of the pattern paper, then die cut and embossed using the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die.  The sentiment is stamped in Black Archival on White card stock.  To further embellish the card, I added die cut/embossed leaves from Olive card stock using the ODBD Zinnia and Leaves, a flourish using the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die, and a border die, die cut/embossed from Black card stock using the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies.  The bee is stamped on White card stock, die cut and embossed using the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die and colored using STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Markers.
