Artistic Outpost October Blog Hop - Designers Choice

Welcome to the Artistic Outpost Design Team October Blog Hop! Each month, the fabulous designers at Artistic Outpost showcase projects created with various Artistic Outpost Plates/Themes, this month it's "designers choice" which means the designers can use any Artistic Outpost plate

Last weekend I had the opportunity to get together with fellow AO designer Sue, for creative day.  We created a bunch of backgrounds for future projects.

Sometimes when Sue and I get together we swap projects we are working on, this time was no different. She gave me one of the backgrounds she created (I don't have the "before" photo), but you can see it at the bottom left as I slowly transformed it with a few more stencils and added color.

Here's my finished mixed media card, using stamps from the Artistic Outpost Think and Wonder, Chalkboard Wisdom and Typography plates.

The background was created with Acrylic Paints, Distress Paints and Distress Stains using the Gelli Arts Plate.  The sweet children from Think and Wonder were stamped in Black Archival on Vanilla card stock, sponged with Distress ink and adhered to the monoprinted panel.  The text from the Typography plate was stamped in Black Archival on a scrap of the monoprinted panel, sponged with Distress Ink then adhered as shown.

Details:
Stamps - Artistic Outpost Typography, Think and Wonder, Chalkboard Wisdom
Card Stock - Bermuda Breeze, Black, Vanilla
Ink - Ranger Black Archival, Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink, Ranger Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, Ranger Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink
Other - Acrylic Paints, Distress Paints, Tim Holtz Stencils, Ink Blending Tool, Gelli Arts Plate
