Staedtler and Stampendous DT's Sweet Summer Blog Hop - Daisy

Welcome to the STAEDTLER and Stampendous Design Teams combined hop! This is my second post for the hop this week, if you missed my previous hop post, be sure to click here, to see my project.  Along with the projects shared by the STAEDTLER designers, each designer is giving away a Sweet Summer prize package!  Stampendous will be giving away a prize every day!  Don't forget, that Stampendous is also giving a way a prize package, to one person who comments on the participating designers blogs each day.

I created another Mixed Media canvas piece using both companies products.  I placed the mask from the Jumbo Daisy onto my canvas, then colored the Daisy using STAEDTLER Watercolor Crayons.  I repeated this process with all three colored daisies, then embossed the flowers using the Encrusted Jewel Teal and Encrusted Jewel Bronze Kits.  To add color to the background I applied the mask to the daisies then colored around them with the watercolor crayons, blending them with a waterbrush, adding additional colors as needed.

To add a little more texture and interest, I used the Embossing with Stencils Technique from Club CR8, and embossed the Roman Letters Stencil over the piece using the Golden Sand Embossing Powder.  Then added added a little more stenciling using the Diamonds Stencil with watercolor crayons.  Once the piece was completely dry, I embossed the edges with Vintage Mahogany Embossing Tinsel.

Details:
Stamps - Stampendous Jumbo Daisy
Ink - Versamark
Other - Canvas, Stampendous Encrusted Jewel Teal Kit/Encrusted Bronze Kit, Heat Gun, Waterbrush, STAEDTLER Watercolor Crayons, The Crafters Workshop Roman Letters/Diamonds Stencil

As I mentioned above, each STAEDTLER designer is giving away this fabulous Sweet Summer prize package shown below!  To be eligible to win, please leave a comment on this blog post (or Monday's Blog Hop post)  by Wednesday, May 29, 2013, 11:59pm CDT.  I'll use the Random Number generator to select a winner, and will post the winner here on my blog on Friday, May 31st, so be sure to check back to see if you've won!

Lisa! This is beautiful! I really like the suble embossed Roman letters with the diamond stenciling in the background! I counted last night and I have 8 of the Stampendous encrusted kits! I also have the large flower stamps and Staedtler watercolor crayons now. I have different stencils and background stamps. I want to do something similar to this but make it my own. Thanks for the inspiration! Woo hoo!
