My Picnic Basket - Creations by AR DT Blog Hop

Welcome to the Creations by AR Design Team Blog Hop! This month some of the the Creations by AR Team members are sharing creations made with the new My Picnic Basket Template. These templates are available for use with Cutting Machines and also as PDF's for those who do not yet own machines. Continue reading below to see how you can win this new template!

Wouldn't this template be perfect for a Summer party, it also makes a wonderful container for gift giving! Another cute idea would be to fill it with Miniature Drink Mixes and a Gift Certificate!  If you have a Cutting Machine, I think the template would look cute shrunk down and then used as place settings for a Summer Picnic Party.  Not having any goodies to fill my basket with, I decided to add a small votive inside the basket and added some of the beautiful flowers that my 17 year old bought me last week.

Instead of searching through my stash of pattern papers to use with this template, I used Background stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs.  All template pieces were cut from card stock using the Silhouette Cameo.

Creations by AR My Picnic Basket Template, stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs

Templates A, C and D were all stamped in Chocolate Ink on Kraft card stock using Our Daily Bread Designs Wood Background stamp.  Template B was stamped in Cherry Cobbler using ODBD's Gingham Background stamp.

To create the tag, I die cut the tag shape from Our Daily Bread Designs Recipe Card and Tags Die from Cherry Cobbler card stock, then stamped the Picnic Basket and sentiment from ODBD's Thank You Sentiments set, in Caramel and Chocolate inks on White card stock.  The stamped panel is layered on Espresso card stock, then adhered to the die cut tag.  To embellish I added a Double Bow from Vintage Brown Seam Binding using Becca's Peg Bow Maker, then added some Zva Creative Mini Roses (FLBK-03CB-125/FLBK-03CB-120/FLBK-03CB-128).

To participate and be eligible to win, simply leave a comment on each designers blog hop post by Sunday, March 24 NOON EDT.  Comments will also be accepted on the Creations by AR PCP Group and Facebook Page.  The random winner will be announced on Monday, March 25th, on the Creations by AR PCP Group, Facebook Page and Adela's Blog.

I just love the way you have used a background stamp to get the wood effect on the basket. And simply love the idea of making it smaller and using it for a place setting - outstanding! And then putting the votive in with a few fresh flowers - oh my, you have my head spinning now with ideas to use this template. Thanks soooo much for sharing your ideas and creativity. Charmain
