Chalkboard stamps are very popular lately! Did you know that Our Daily Bread Designs designed their line of Chalkboard Stamps to be used with Black or Colored Ink (they can also be embossed), no need for the Faux Chalkboard Technique - gotta love that!
As with all my bold/silhouette type of stamps, I like to condition them before using, so that I get better coverage with my ink. My go to Black Ink for all my stamping, is Ranger Black Archival. This ink is Permanent, Acid Free and Waterproof, and if you act quickly, you can also heat emboss!
Here's a video I created, showing how I condition my stamps
Did you notice that cool stamp/die storage box in my video, you can see a portion of it shown above. I love this method for storing my stamps and dies. There's large and small boxes/storage panels, and magnetic sheets! I also like that fact that you can purchase Magnetic Sheets that have Stamp Storage on the backside - what a great way to store those stamps that have matching dies!
Here's a close up of the cards I created using some of Our Daily Bread Designs Chalkboard Stamps. Again, no fancy Technique used here, just Black Ink.

The top two and bottom right panels show the Chalkboard - Birthday stamp, stamped in Black Archival on colored card stock. You can see the etched area of the stamp takes the color of your card stock. The panel on the bottom left, is the one I used on my card. The stamped image is trimmed, edged in Black to hide any exposed edges, layerd on a Vanilla panel, then a Back panel.
Thanks for stopping by!
