Do what makes you Happy

Welcome to the Artistic Outpost Design Team Blog Hop! Each month on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, the Artistic Outpost Design Team is showcasing projects created with various Artistic Outpost plates.  This month the Designers are sharing projects they created with their favorite Artistic Outpost images.

I have so many favorite Artistic Outpost images, it's hard to just choose one, so I combined a few of my favorites: Think and Wonder, Typography, Whimsical Melange and Flower Market  to create my card.

The background piece was created a leftover piece of Gelli Plate Art from this post, I simply added some Dylusionals Spray for a bit more color.  Then added some Gesso and stamped images from Artistic Outpost.

Do What Matters Most

Do you stick to just one style of art when creating, do your stamps talk to you? I generally start by picking out my stamps, then work on a background or choose my pattern papers. The background for this card was inspired by this weeks Simon Says Stamp and Show - Spritz, Spray or Stencil Challenge.

Artistic Outpost Stamps - Think and Wonder/French Market - Mixed Media with Dylusions Sprays
I started out by spritzing my watercolor panel with water, then randomly misted with Dylusions Spray and blotted the excess.  I used the ghosting technique and one of Dyan's stencils to add some interest to the background.  The sweet kids are from the Artistic Outpost Think and Wonder plate, stamped in Black Archival on White, cut out and sponged with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  I added some more stenciling with White Paint and Ranger Distress Ink, once dry, I stamped the flowers and butterflies from Artistic Outpost Flower Market plate.  The butterflies were stamped a second time on scraps and popped up for added dimensions.  The sentiment is left over from last weeks She Art project.

Details:
Stamps - Artistic Outpost Think and Wonder, Flower Market
Ink - Ranger Black Archival, Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, Summer Distress Ink
Card Stock - Summer Sun, Black, Watercolor
Other - Non Stick Craft Mat, Sprtiz Bottle, Dylusions Sprays (Fresh Lime, Pure Sunshine, Vibrant Turquoise), Stencils, White Paint, Glue Dots, Ink Blending Tool
