Bloggers Challenge - Color Splash

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday! Thanks to those who played along with last weeks Back to School Challenge, I enjoyed stopping by your blogs to see your creations. This weeks challenge is a Color Splash Challenge - use Black and White with a Splash of Color.

I love these color challenges, it's always fun to see what one splash of color people incorporate into their projects. I used Pink as my "splash", using the Watercolor Whimsy Technique from the August Technique Junkie Newsletter to create my background.

Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs Sharing your Sorrow, Wood Background
The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs Sharing your Sorrow sympathy set.  The WC Whimsy Technique was done with STAEDTLER Watercolor Crayons on Sheer Heaven Vellum, that was stamped with the Wood Background Stamp from ODBD.  I love this vellum as it doesn't warp when used with water.  To embellish I added some Zva Creative Mini Roses and Crystal Flourishes.

Details:
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs Sharing your Sorrow, Wood Background
Ink - Ranger Black Archival
Card Stock - Black, Pink
Other - Sheer Heaven Vellum, Spritz Bottle, Staedtler Watercolor Crayons, Dimensionals, Zva Creative Mini Roses, Zva Creative Crystal Pearls, Dylusions Stencil

Beautiful card and sentiment. I just discovered that technique and love it. The woodgrain stamp makes a really fabulous background with the technique.
