Christmas in July with Artistic Outpost

Have you started your 2012 Holiday cards yet? Artistic Outpost is helping you get a jump start on your Holiday card creating with the release of their MidWinter plate.  This collection features a scenic snow drift and seasonal flora and fauna, these stamps have been designed to be versatile beyond the holiday season.

I created two cards to share with you today using images and sentiments from the MidWinter plate.

Artistic Outpost - stamps MidWinter, pattern paper Bo Bunny www.lisasomerville.com
My first card features the log cabin image.  The image is stamped in Coffee Archival on Vanilla card stock, then colored with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor pencils.  I added some clouds to the background using Ranger Distress ink, sponging around a scallop edge.  All panels including the BoBunny pattern paper are sponged with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Other - Bo Bunny Snowfall Pattern Paper, Ink Blending Tool, STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils

Artistic Outpost - stamps MidWinter, pattern paper My Minds Eye www.lisasomerville.com
I'm sure my regular blog readers are shocked, again a card with no Black layers!  Here I've used the beautiful cardinal image, stamping in Coffee Archival on Vanilla, then coloring with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils.  The image is cut with Spellbinders Circle Dies, then layered on an Espresso Circle panel.  All patten paper is from My Minds Eye.  To embellish I added a Vintage Walnut Brown Seam Binding Bow, some Pinecone trim from Hobby Lobby and a tag using the Yuletide Greetings sentiment from the MidWinter plate.
