Marbled Stains - Happy Retirement

I know just the perfect person to give this card to, but I'll have to hold on to it for another year or so, as she's not quite ready for retirement!

I just love the Hammock image from Our Daily Bread Designs Happy Retirement set, I only wish I could zap myself onto that Hammock!  Calgon take me away!  This image coordinates wonderfully with The Mighty Sea too!  On this card I used both the Hammock image and a portion of The Mighty Sea, stamping the images in Black Archival on Watercolor paper.  To add color to the watercolor paper I used the Marbled Stains Technique from A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2.  Once my watercolor paper was dry, I added color to the images with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils, blending with Gamsol, then sponged Antique Linen on the bottom panel to resemble sand, and added some clouds to the top portion.  The sentiment can be found in the Happy Retirement set, I love the font, it goes perfectly with the nautical images!
