Faithful and Loyal Friend {ODBDLYLS16} Scrapbook Challenge

There's still time to play along with the Monthly Scrapbook Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.  This month's challenge is to create a layout of any size using  ODBD stamps on your page, along with the theme of  “Lawn and Garden”, by incorporating and three of the following items into your page: Green, Brown, Grass, Flowers, Dirt, Butterflies, Leaves or Wood.

I created an 8" x 8" page using a photos of my husband and our 8 year old Yellow Lab Lou, that was taken last summer at the lake.  I love this photo of the two of them and the way it coordinates with the sentiments and quotes from Our Daily Bread Designs Dog Sympathy and Paw Prints sets.

The items that I incorporated from the "Lawn and Garden" recipe are:  Brown (pattern papers, ink), Grass, Flowers and Green (coloring, Dog stamped image).  All images/sentiments are stamped in Ranger Coffee Archival on watercolor paper.  I colored the dog image with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils, blending with Gamsol, and sponged the edges of all panels with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  I also added a few dog prints in Coffee Ink to the pattern paper panel running through the center of my page.  The dog bone under the quote was cut with the Silhouette Cameo, from Saffron and Chocolate card stocks, the Saffron Scallop was cut using a Spellbinders Edgeabilities Die.

Details:
Stamps - Our Daily Bread Designs Paw Prints, Dog Sympathy
Card Stock - Watercolor, Expresso, Saffron
Ink - Ranger Coffee Archival, Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink
Other - Big Shot, Silhouette Cameo, Spellbinders Edgeabilities Die, Dimensionals, Bella Blvd. Pattern Paper, We R Memory Keepers Pattern Paper, STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils, STAEDTLER Triplus Pen, Sponge Dauber, Gamsol, Blending Stumps

My page also fits the following challenges:
ODBD S-P-R-I-N-G Word Challenge (Stamps, Pattern Paper, Red, Ink, Nibs, Grass), Simon Says Stamp and Show Anything Goes Challenge, Inspiration Emporium Watercoloring
