3D Lighthouse

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for the Creations by AR Blog Hop!  Adela released this fab Lighthouse Template along with the ones we used in the hop, and I just now had a chance to make mine!  The lighthouse template is a box that stands 8 inches tall with a lid that was designed to hold a battery-operated tea light (which I currently do not have on hand).

I cut all pieces using the Silhouette Cameo, using Black card stock and Core'dinations Whitewash (purple is the core side).  After cutting the Core'dinations pieces, I embossed them with a Texture Fades Folder, then lightly sanded to show the core color.  My hubby and boys couldn't believe the lighthouse was created from paper, and suggested I added a door.  To create the door I used the Silhouette Designer Studio Software, and welded a rectangle and oval shape, then added the square cut out for the window.

If you own the Silhouette, and have been wanting to upgrade to the Silhouette Designer Studio Software, now is a great time!  Currently at Plum District you can purchase a $50 worth of Silhouette merchandise* for $27 when you click this link and enter the promo code fabulous! * (some exclusions apply)

Details:
Card Stock - Black, Core'dinations White Wash
Other - Silhouette Cameo, Texture Fades Embossing Folder, Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, Rope, Pearls, Maya Road Trinket Pin, Acetate, Lighthouse Template from Creations by AR

This is gorgeous Lisa. I wish I had this when my son was in 5th grade, (eons ago) we made a ton of lighthouses, but none were as nice as this. lol
