Stampotique Welcomes Artist Kira Nichols

Stampotique Originals is excited to welcome Kira Nichols as their newest artist!  Kira has designed some fun monsters and kittie images for her first line of stamps and to celebrate the Design Team is doing a blog hop along with Kira using her new images!

If you arrived here from Maria's Blog, you are in the right place, if not you can head back to the Stampotique Blog and start from the beginning.  Make sure as you hop from blog to blog to leave comments along the way, one randomly chosen commenter will win some of Kira's new images.

I'm sharing two cards with you today created with Kira's fun images!  This first card uses Kira's Whisker Monster with Sign along with the Honeycomb and Hexagon images from Stampotique.

The monster is stamped in Black Archival on Watercolor paper, then masked.  To create the BG on both panels I used the Watercolor Distress Technique, using Ranger Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Rusty Hinge.  Once dry, I removed the mask on the monster and stamped the sentiment in Ranger Black Archival.  To add color, I used STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils, using Gamsol for blending, then added highlights with STAEDTLER Triplus Fineliners.  For the background panel, I added the Honeycomb in Ranger Black ink, and the Hexagon in Gesso.

Details:
Stamps - Stampotique Originals
Ink - Ranger Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Ranger Black Archival, Ranger Distress Stain Mustard Seed, Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint, STAEDTLER Aquarell Watercolor Pencils, STAEDTLER Triplus Fineliner
Card Stock - Watercolor, Summer Sun, Black
Other - Gesso, Heat Tool, Non Stick Craft Mat, Prima Distress Tool, 3L Dimensionals

My next card is CAS using the Warhol Technique and the new Hug Monster image along with the Give Self a Hug sentiment

Card Stock - Olive Summer Sun, Pumpkin, Black

Thanks so much for stopping by, your next stop on the hop is Jo Capper-Sandon's Blog.
