Bloggers Challenge - Freedom isn't Free

Thank You Veterans!

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday, thanks to those who played along with last weeks Sketch Challenge, it's always wonderful to see how everyone uses  the sketch!  This weeks challenge is Veteran's Day, the challenge is open to your interpretation of the theme.

I chose to use this sweet image from the Artistic Outpost Hero's set, along with this weeks Bo Bunny Sketch

The image is stamped in Ranger Black Archival on Watercolor paper.  To color I used Distress Ink/Stains and the Watercolor Distress Technique for the Background, then colored the image with an H20 Brush and Distress Inks.  The fab papers are from the Bo Bunny Liberty line.
Details:
Stamps - Artistic Outpost
Card Stock - Red, Navy, Watercolor
Ink - Ranger Distress Ink Tattered Rose, Gathered Twigs, Distress Stain Walnut Stain, Broken China, Antique Linen
Other - H20 Brush, Prima Distress Tool, Hemp, Rusted Star, Pop Up Glue Dot, 3L Dimensionals, Bo Bunny Liberty Pattern Paper, Heat Tool, Non Stick Craft Mat, Ink Blending Tool

Additional Challenges: Crop Stop - Flag Colors, Just Inspirational - Remembrance Day

Hi Lisa~

The quote brought tears to my eyes. Joshua has just completed his first full week of Basic Military Camp for the Air Force.

Thank you for drawing attention to our Veterans...so many people just look at it as a free day to go to the beach!

And, your card is wonderful. I love that image. And, the paper is perfect...as is that star in the center. I really like this very much. It means a lot to me...even more now. Thank you for being you, Lisa!

He IS Able!
