Love Is - ODBDLYLS9 Scrap Challenge

This months Scrap Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs is to create a scrap page of any size using Vellum and Our Daily Bread Designs Stamps. I had lots of ideas running through my head for vellum, but in the end, decided on some simple vellum overlays.

I turned to some more wonderful old photos of my grandparents for my 8" x 8" scrap page.  I'm not sure how old they are in the photo or when it was taken, but they sure looked happy.  When choosing my wedding date, I picked my grandparents anniversary, and my husband and I were married on their 51st Wedding Anniversary, we'll be celebrating our 20th Anniversary on October 5th.

I wanted to add the vellum overlay, but still be able to see the photo, so I stamped the verse from 1 Corinthians in Ranger Coffee Archival and heat set. It may appear to look a little blurred in the photo, but IRL, it is clear. I might just remove that piece and heat emboss and see if my photo still shows through.

I pulled the blue color from the Basic Grey papers into the rest of my layout, by adding Scallops with Spellbinders Edgeabilities Die and Butterflies using Cheery Lynn Designs Small Exotic Butterfly Die. I also randomly stamped the Crochet Border from Serve the Lord in Brocade Blue onto the Basic Grey Papers, and paper pieced the flowers.

The Crocheted Poppy from Serve the Lord is stamped on Vellum, then die cut with the Crocheted Circle Die and adhered to a Chocolate panel cut with the Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry Die.
