Love is the Thread - ODBDLYLS8 Scrapbook Challenge

ETA***If you received this post twice - I'm sorry, Blogger was acting up and not allowing comments so I had to add it again.!

Hey Scrappers - have you played along with this months Our Daily Bread Designs Scrapbook Challenge?  This month Patter issued the following challenge - Fun with Numbers, for complete details click here to see how you can play along for your chance to win a $25 ODBD Gift Certificate!

This challenge certainly was a little more challenging, as you had to use numbers on your page, and adding the date did not count.  Do you see where I added my numbers?  I recently asked my mom so mail me a handful of my grandmother's old photos as I thought they'd be great for scrapping.  I came across a photo of my grandparents that I thought would work wonderfully, scanned it and printed it in Sepia to match the Bo Bunny papers I wanted to use.

I originally thought the photo was taken outside my grandparents house, but when I asked my mom, she said it was outside my great grandmothers house, she said she had a lovely flower garden and walkway.  Don't they look wonderful!  I thought the sentiment from Sewn with Love  worked wonderfully with the photo.  I wish the photo was dated so I knew how old they were here.  I altered the pattern paper by stamping the Dahlia in Teal, then settled on a layout after playing with various pieces I die cut.  I added the Fence to go along with the photo, die cutting it from Chocolate card stock, then added part of the Cheery Lynn Designs Patriotic Swag in Teal, adding a bit of Faux Stitching for interest and some flower blossoms I created using an old Pattern Piece,  Spellbinders Blossom 3 and the Sweet William - Small set.

Here's a close up of the larger blossoms - see the added numbers?

Under the larger Blossoms, I added a circle cut from the backside of the Bo Bunny paper, layered on a  Cheery Lynn Designs  French Pastry die cut from Vanilla and distressed.  Just under the circle I added the
Victorian Romance Flourish, cut from Chocolate Textured card stock.  To finish off my page, I added the Exotic Butterflies Small cut from Teal card stock.

It's a beautiful layout, Lisa. And it's a good thing you had a closeup of the numbers, because I couldn't find them without it. ;-)
