Bloggers Challenge - Sketch Challenge

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday!  Thanks so much to those of you who played along with last weeks challenge, I apologize for not making it around to all the players blogs in a timely manner to comment on your entries, I'll be around later today to finish commenting.  It was a busy weekend with DS turning 16, a trip to the DMV, a well needed girls night out with my dear friends Kim and Sheryl whom I haven't seen since March, and Back to School for the boys left me with little time to comment during the week.

Speaking of BTS, I always take photos of the boys in the same spot each year, this first photo is from 2000, Jim in 1st Grade, Joe in Kindergarten.  The bottom picture is the one I took yesterday, on their 1st day, Jim is a Senior this year and Joe a Junior. Time flies!

On to this weeks challenge!

This weeks challenge is a favorite of many people, including myself - it's SKETCH week!  Feel free to rotate the sketch of substitute shapes if needed.  I created the sketch with My Memories Suite Scrapbook Software (see the link on my sidebar) , I love how easy the software is to use, not only that but it makes sketch creating so much easier!

All images on my card are from Stampotique, stamped in Ranger Archival on Vanilla card stock. To embellish my card I used Pearl Brads and Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry and Victorian Romance Flourish, cutting the flourish to fit my design.

Details:
Stamps - Stampotique (8921J and 9154J)
Ink - Ranger Coffee Archival, Soft Suede
Card Stock - Vanilla, Soft Suede, Soft Sky
Other - Pearl Brads, Ink Blending Tool Cheery Lynn French Pastry Die, Cheery Lynn Victorian Romance Flourish, Glue Dots, Spellbinders Rose Creations Die, The Sticky Thumb Dimensionals, SAMJ, My Minds Eye Pattern Paper, Pink Paislee Pattern Paper

If you'd like to play along with this weeks Bloggers Challenge, please link back to this post on your blog and mention you created your card for the Bloggers Challenge Sketch Challenge. Please add your link using the Link Tool below. Just a note on the link tool, your link should be a direct link to your Bloggers Challenge Post, use your name as the Title. Enjoyed seeing your sons again...where does the time go? Before you know it they will be wearing graduation caps!

Gorgeous card. Love the sketch... circles and squares... what's not to love! :) Beautiful colors too! The boys pictures are just wonderful. Love how you can see the difference in height against the house!

Fabulous card. That Stampotique image is so sweet. Love the sentiment and the background papers, die cut, and flower are sensational.

great job with this sketch, love the image and sentiment together. The pic of the boys cracks me up, they are the same height...and so cute in their little picture. Still dreaming of that well-done pizza, although our deep dish was good, our waitress was horrid! Had a great time though.

I take pictures first day of school as well - love the fact that your boys seem to not of changed - the youngest sneakers the oldest a bit more casual.
This year I have just my little miss - we drop off my middle guy at college today ... time flies when you are having fun!
Enjoy - it is going to be a busy year with after HS planning and all the excitement of senior year.

Beautiful card Lisa! That blossom is gorgeous and I love the fancy flourish! I really enjoyed the photos of your boys :) What a great idea! That would be fun to scrap!!

I really loved your sketch! Thanks for the challenge.

I also really liked the pictures of your boys. They don't fit below that wall anymore do they!? They grow so fast. I used to take pictures of my kids every year on the first day back. They made me stop - they were too embarrassed. LOL Kids!

I decided to take the plunge, Lisa! Thanks for the challenge. I linked up on Gerrie's blog because that's the only place I could find the Linky Too. (I'm still impressed that your sons pleasantly pose for you to take school photos each year! Handsome young men, too.)

Great sketch, your card is beautiful and those photos of your sons are priceless! I didn't realize it was the same house until I realized the boys were only as tall as the brick portion in grades K & 1. The time does fly.
