Paper Roses - Heartfelt Creations Botanical Gardens Collection and a Chance to Win!

Happy Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  It's the time of the month everyone loves - it's release day!    The Botanical Garden Collection features 5 new precut stamp sets that coordinate with Spellbinder's Rose Creations Shapeabilities and Foliage Shapeabilities Dies.   For a chance to win this months' release, leave a comment on my blog or the Heartfelt Creations Blog by July 19th, one lucky person will win the entire release ($75.00 value). The winner will be announced on the HC blog on July 20.

If you stopped by yesterday, I told you I'm addicted to Pattern Paper, one of my other addictions is creating Paper Blossoms.  With this release, Heartfelt Creations and Spellbinders have made it so easy to create your own beautiful Paper Roses, and I'm excited to share one of the projects I created using this release!

To create the flowers I used Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set; HCPC 3406 Botanical Floral 1 PreCut Set; and HCPC 3408 Woodland Fern PreCut Set.  Stamp the Botanical Floral 1 (all 3 sizes, 2 of each of the larger ones and 1 of the smaller 1), and Botanical Floral 2 (1 of the largest one) in Coffee Ink on card stock, and die cut with Spellbinders Rose Creations Die. Scrunch and pinch the petals, stack on top of each other and add a Brad Center.  To prevent the different Blossom layers from moving, you can add a little hot glue.

I knew I wanted to create a bouquet of flowers, the creative part came in to play on how to add them to the floral wire, then the light bulb moment went off!  I had some blocks of Styrofoam, so I scooped out a ball using a Melon Baller, and made sure I had a flat surface so I could hot glue it to the bottom of the blossom, then poked a hole in the center and hot glued in the wrapped floral wire.  I stamped and die cut some Ferns and Leaves and hot glued them in place.

Even the vase is paper!  I cut the Let's Vase It template from a piece of Memory Box paper using the eCraft, scored using the Scor-Pal, sponged the edges and assembled with Scor-Tape, then added a block of Styrofoam so I'd be able to insert the flowers.  To complete my project, I added some moss and ribbon trim around the vase and stickles to the blossoms and leaves.

For more Heartfelt Creations inspiration, stop by the company blog to see what the other designers created, and don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win this months release!

Have a great day!
