Misunderstood - SDC#35

It's time for another challenge at the Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog.  This week  Kaz is your hostess and she's challenging you to use the colors Red, Yellow and Orange, please remember the challenge this week is a STAMPOTIQUE ONLY stamps week.

Twinkie is in a dance kinda mood with all these bright colors, but feels he's misunderstood by many!  I created a BG with Ranger Distress Stains (Wild Honey/Fired Brick) and Distress Reinker (Mustard Seed),  on Watercolor paper, then did some Ghosting with the Mesh BG stamp.  I added the Honeycomb BG with White Gesso, and the Hexagon in Black Archival.  Twinkie is stamped in Black Archival and colored with Distress Inks.

Details:
Stamps - Stampotique (#7314 Mesh Background, #8116 Honeycomb, #3006 Hexagon, #6013 Twinkie, #8946 Misunderstood)
Ink - Ranger Black Archival, Ranger Distress Ink Fired Brick, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Ranger Distress Stain Wild Honey, Fired Brick, Ranger Distress Reinker Mustard Seed
Card Stock - Watercolor, Black, Red
Other - Gesso, Spritz Bottle, H20 Brush, Not Stick Craft Mat

We hope you'll play along for your chance to win a $30 gift certificate to Stampotique (good for stamps).  Click here for more details.

Cool. Would like to know details as to how you created the honeycomb pattern? Not familiar with white gesso.
