Let Freedom Ring!

Inspired by this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch and the Stand and Salute Challenge at the Kraft Journal, I created this Easel Card.  Those who know me, know I LOVE layers, wonder how much it will cost to mail this one.....

I just love this Artistic Outpost image from the Hero plate, it's stamped in Black Archival on watercolor paper, then I used a morphed version of the Watercolor Distress Technique to add color, then went back in and added more color with Distress Inks and an H20 Brush.

The Kraft panel is embossed with the Cuttlebug Stars folder, then highlighted with Ranger Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  I also embossed the Moss panel with the Stars Folder.  The word Freedom as well as the Wings come from the Artistic Outpost She-roes plate.  This sketch gave me the opportunity to used of some scraps of pattern paper by Karen Foster.  The cool Faux Brad looking things are Candi Fix by Craftworks Cards.  I'm just lovin' these as they really do look like brads.  Gonna have to get me some other colors!

Details:
Stamps - Artistic Outpost Hero, She-roes
Ink - Ranger Black Archival, Ranger Distress Ink Pumice Stone, Bundled Sage, Rose, Weathered Wood
Card Stock - Kraft, Black, Watercolor, Mellow Moss
Other - Non Stick Craft Mat, Heat Gun, H20 Brush, Candi Fix, Dimensionals, Karen Foster Pattern Paper, Distress Tool, Ink Blending Tool, Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, Big Shot, CuttleBug Stars Folder

Great card, love the stars and those brads do look fabulous! You did such a marvellous jog of giving it that aged look, I can almost smell the old paper when I look at it.

Wow, Lisa! This is wonderful! I find myself getting more and more patriotic the closer it comes to my son's leaving for bootcamp!

You make such incredible patriotic cards. You said the patterned paper scraps were by Karen Foster. Is it a set of patriotic papers? Do you still know the name of the set, off hand? I'd love to get some. I really like the wings on the front panel, and the layers galore! The stars show up so well on this! Fabulous job!
