For the Happy Couple

It all starts with a sketch.....when I saw this weeks Skipping Stone Designs Sketch, I immediately thought Minkygirl and Toby would look great in the little blocks, kinda like they were in one of those photo booths.  I had fun coloring, masking, adding various stamps and Distress Stains, then came the time to add the sentiment....hmmmm, what to do?  I went for a little humor....

and added a handwritten sentiment on the inside that reads - it's about time!

All images are from Stampotique, stamped in Black Archival on Watercolor paper and colored using the Marker Watercoloring Technique.  To add BG color to the images I dabbed on some Ranger Distress Stain in Antique Linen - I'm just LOVIN' these new stains, and stamped the Honeycomb in Caramel, sponged the edges in Chocolate and added the Patch in Black Archival to resemble photo corners.  The panel under my images was also created with Distress Stains in Fired Brick and Antique Linen, smooshed on WC paper then spritzed with water and dried.  To fill in the open space, I used the Honeycomb stamp in Carmel, Hexagon in Black Archival and sentiment.

Details:
Stamps - Stampotique Minkygirl, Toby, Honeycomb, Patch, Hexagon, Well, la de Frickin' dah!
Ink - Black Archival, Chocolate, Caramel, Markers
Card Stock - Watercolor, Black
Other - Sponge Dauber, Spritz Bottle, Distress Stains, H20 Brush, Lattice Punch, Eclipse Tape
