Vintage Christmas

I just love this image from the Artistic Outpost Sleigh Ride plate, they make for some wonderful vintage Holiday cards.  When I sat down to create, I had a few different challenges in mind and "loosely" brought them all together on this one card.  The Case Study Challenge had a beautiful card for inspiration, I pulled the layering, loose interpretation of the sketch, and ribbon tied to the side from their challenge; Card Patterns has another wonderful Sketch this week (I changed the shape of my image); and Simon Says Stamp and Show is looking for Numbers (the wonderful My Minds Eye paper).

The trees from the Artistic Outpost Sleigh Ride set are stamped in Olive on Vanilla card stock, then cut with Spellbinders Oval dies, the edges sponged in Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  The focal image also from this plate is stamped in Black Archival on Watercolor paper and colored using the Marker Watercoloring Technique, then cut out, sponge the edges with Pumice Stone and adhere to panel.  For some added shimmer, I spritzed the card with Pearl Glimmer Mist.

Details:
Stamps - Artistic Outpost Sleigh Ride
Ink - Black Archival, Markers, Pumice Stone Distress Ink
Card Stock - Olive, Black, Vanilla, Watercolor, Burgundy
Other - Ribbon, Antique Brad, Dimensionals, Glue Dot, Spellbinders Oval Die, Glimmer Mist, My Minds Eye Paper, Sponge Dauber
