Bloggers Challenge - Sketch Challenge

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday! This week I gave the Bloggers Challenge Team the following sketch to use for inspiration, when I sat down to create my card, I thought to myself "what was I thinking with this sketch".  I had the my focal image all picked out, even created a beautiful background, went to put it together with the sketch - it didn't fit.  What to do.....Start again, right, so I did.  Same image, same lovely BG technique, nope, still not working....as I was getting ready to just scrap the whole idea, I rotated the sketch - an ah ha moment....Here's what I ended up with:

The background fits Linda's Compendium of Curiosities Challenge - Wrinkle Free Distress.  I'm so glad there was an extra week to play along this time around!  The wonderful stamps are some of my favorites from Artistic Outpost - and can be found on The Outpost plate.  I'll share the other piece I created next week using these same images and BG technique once I figure out a layout.

Details:
Stamps - Artistic Outpost
Ink - Black Archival, Distress Ink Rusty Hinge, Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed, Weathered Wood
Card Stock - Olive, Marigold, Black, Durango, Watercolor
Other - Craft Sheet, Spritz Bottle, H20 Brush, Heat Gun

Have a great weekend!

Oh, this is gorgeous, Lisa! Your wrinkle-free distress background is incredible-- those colors are wonderful together, and the "sky" effect really works well. You were so smart to rotate that sketch-- it's a great layout and really shows off the stamping.

You're right-- those Artistic Outpost images are great! This has such a sweet, inviting feel, and the sentiment is perfect!
