Key to my Heart - a Little Fun with PDCC#47

Thanks for stopping by for this weeks Play Date Cafe Color challenge!  There's a fab color story this week from Senior Designer Sarah Anderson using the colors Black, White, Green, Red and Turquoise.  This week the Cafe is being sponsored by Paper Bag Studios, with owner Roben -Marie Smith joining us as our Guest Designer.  The winner of this weeks challenge will received a $25 Gift Certificate to Paper Bag Studios online store - how cool is that!

The PDCC designers all used the new set Doodles and Daters from Paper Bag Studios to create their cards this week.  I had the opportunity to get together with Sue from the PDCC this past weekend for a creative day and we worked on our projects along few other things.  I have to tell you, while in the midst of creating for today's post, Sue and I swapped projects!  She liked the direction my card was going, and I hers, so we just handed each other other the "partial" elements we had going and went to work creating new cards.  I LOVE the direction she took with her project.  (scroll down for link)

Sticking with the larger card size that is more Sue's style, the Basic Grey papers on both the large and small panels are stitched with the fun stitch stamp from Doodles and Daters.  The left hand panel is embossed with a Quick Cutz folder.  Behind the focal grouping I stamped the houses in Black to get that book note look, then sponged the edges in Red.  The Heart is stamped in Black on White card stock, then sponged in Red, wrapped with Black Hemp and a Key from Sue's stash.  I added some doodles with a White Gel Pen.  The Flower doodles are stamped in Black on Pattern Paper (Basic Grey and October Afternoon), cut out and adhered to the card.  I found a fun Flower button in Sue's stash that coordinated with the paper, tied on some hemp and added it to the card.

Here's this weeks Color Story Photo,we'd love for you to play along with this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe, you can find all the details here on how to enter.  If you upload to any online gallery please use keyword PDCC#47 so we can find your creations!

I'll be very honest....I don't care for the those house images! You card, however, is just wonderful. You've combined the right number of images....and the colors are beautiful.
