Play Date Cafe #42 - Want a Hug?

Happy Thursday, it's time for another wonderful Color Challenge from The Play Date Cafe!  This week Senior Designer Sarah is your color hostess with this wonderful Moroccan inspirational photo.  Not having any stamps that style, I grabbed the images that were still on studio desk and used them along with the color story.  Memory Box is back as our Sponsor this week and we also have Elise Durenberger  joining us as our Guest Designer.

The wonderful paper is from October Afternoon and had just the right colors to go with Sarah's challenge.  I paired it with this beautiful image from Crafty Individuals, stamping the image in Black Archival on Vanilla card stock, then coloring in shades of Chocolate and Green using the Marker Watercoloring Technique.  Using an Ink Blending Tool I added Pumice Stone Distress Ink to the edges for some added aging.

We'd love for you to play along with this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe, you can find all the details here on how to enter.  If you upload to any online gallery please use keyword PDCC#42 so we can find your creations!

Looking for more inspiration using this weeks challenge visit the other Designers Blogs:

Your card is awesome, love the colors and the nostalgic look of your card. Reminds me of peeking in my granny's hat boxes that held special treasures. Beautiful work.

I just love your cards--they are so creative and beautiful! I wish I had papers that matched the colors--although, now that I think about it...I might have the same papers you used! Maybe I should call you and ask which papers you will be using and see if I can find something to match:) LOVE IT! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE coming to your site;) Always great inspiration!!!
