Bloggers Challenge - What Inspires You

What inspires you to create?  Is it a sketch, colors, a photo of something?  This week I gave the Bloggers Challenge Members this photo to draw inspiration from for their project.  When working from a photo there's a lot of things you can draw from when creating, it could be the colors, or even a theme presented in the photo.

My inspiration came from the Quilt, colors and texture found in the photo.

(click photo to enlarge)

I pulled the following colors from the photo: Kiwi, Curry, Turquoise, Rose, Chocolate and Confetti, and used the Texture Fades folders to emboss my card stock, then cut them into 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" squares.  I cut another panel and adhered a Sizzix Adhesive Sheet, then added my textured squares.  The textured areas are highlighted with White ink, then I added the stitching using a Stitch stamp from Starving Artistamps.  I used Spellbinders Label 10 to create the Chocolate Frame piece, adding some embossing and highlights to match my Quilt squares.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Occasional Quotes set.

Details:
Stamps - Stampin' Up! (quote), Starving Artistamps (stitches)
Ink - White, Markers, Chocolate Chip
Card Stock - Chocolate, Confetti, Rose, Kiwi, Turquoise, Curry
Other - Texture Fades Folder, Spellbinders Ten, Basic Grey Pearls, Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Glue Dots, Sizzix Adhesive Sheet
