Gone Fishing

When I saw this weeks CHF Summer Fling Challenge using Thomas Kinkade images, I knew exactly what I wanted to create.  However, my supplies were running  bit low, so I decided to "morph" the technique a bit for my background.

I started out by stamping the image from Cornish Heritage Farms in Black archival on Matte card stock, then heat set.  To add color I used the Pulled Glimmers from the current TJNL, morphing it by using Radiant Rain in place of the Glimmer Mist.   I used the following sprays in this order starting at the top: Solar Gold, Coral Berry, Sky Blue. Wouldn't you know the Radiant Rain spray  floated more on my card stock than I wanted, so what's a girl to do?  I wasn't giving up just yet, I was going to make this work.  So after a few sprtiz and dries, I had a nice colorful background.  But not the look I was after, the scene just didn't pop enough, so out come the Distress Inks and H20 Brush.

Using the H20 Brush and Distress Inks, I painted back in the details on the trees, flowers and fisherman. The inks blended nicely with the spray, and the card has a nice overall shimmer.

Details:
Stamps - Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink - Black Archival, Distress Inks
Card Stock - Black, Celery, Blue, Matte White
Other - Heat Gun, H20 Brush, Radiant Rain Mist
