Technique Junkie Blog Hop - Technique by Design Challenge

Welcome to the Technique Junkie Newsletter Monthly Blog Hop! If you came from Cathy's Blog, you're in the right spot! If not, you can start at the TJNL Blog so you don't miss any fabulous artwork!

This months Technique by Design Challenge is to use the sketch below and incorporate at least two differfent TJNL Techniques.  Once your card is created, leave a link on Pat's blog for a chance to win a fabulous prize package from out TJ Vendors.  Deadline to enter is May 15th.

To create my card I used the beautiful Easter Iris from Twisted Papers, printed on Vanilla card stock, then cut with Spellbinders Circle Dies.  I used the Cracked Glass Techniqued on my image, and aged it with Ranger Old Paper Distress Inks.  For the Black panels, I used the Damask Cuttlebug Folder and the Sanded Core'dinations Technique.  The beautiful pattern paper is from the Wisteria Line by Basic Grey.

Details:
Image - Twisted Papers Easter Iris
Ink - Versamark, Ranger Old Paper Distress Ink
Card Stock - Black, Eggplant, Vanilla
Other - Core'dinations Black Magic, Damask Embossing Folder, Dura Sand Sanding Block, Spellbinders Circle and Scallop Dies, Glassy Glaze Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Big Shot
Thanks for stopping by, your next stop is Shelly's blog.

I have to tell you, this card just tugs at my heart strings! I dearly love the Iris flower. It was my mother's favorite. She had almost each and every color in her yard. Your choice of color is beautiful!
